CJC-1295 (DAC) Testing
MW: 3647.28 g/molHalf-life: ~6–8 days (DAC-mediated albumin binding)
GHRH analog with Drug Affinity Complex for extended half-life (~8 days).
Mechanism of action
GHRH analog with four substitutions for stability plus a maleimidopropionic acid (MPA-DAC) linker that covalently binds plasma albumin via Cys34. The albumin reservoir extends what would otherwise be a minutes-long half-life into days.
Research areas
- ●Sustained GH elevation research
- ●Combined with ipamorelin or GHRPs
What we test on CJC-1295 (DAC)
Intact-mass LC-MS is the deciding test — DAC present or not. RP-HPLC purity, endotoxin.
Standard GH Secretagogues Panel
- ✓RP-HPLC purity
- ✓ESI-MS identity
- ✓Amino acid analysis
- ✓Residual solvents (GC-MS)
Common impurities & failure modes
- Missing DAC linker
Without DAC, the molecule has minutes-long half-life. ~280 Da mass difference resolves easily.
- Hydrolyzed maleimide
Pre-hydrolysis prevents albumin binding.
- Sequence truncation
Long peptide (30 residues); typical SPPS failures.
